Chapter 2: Writing Task 1 (Academic)

You must describe a graph, chart, or map in 150 words.

The 4-Paragraph Structure:

1. Introduction: Paraphrase the question. (“The provided bar chart illustrates…”)
2. Overview: What is the main trend? No numbers here! (“Overall, it is clear that…”)
3. Body Paragraph 1: Detail the highest numbers/first trend.
4. Body Paragraph 2: Detail the lower numbers/contrasting trend.
