Speaking fluency বাড়াতে শুধু sentence বললেই হয় না; ভালো question করতে জানা, common expression ঠিকভাবে ব্যবহার করা এবং শব্দগুলো পরিষ্কারভাবে বলা দরকার। এই lesson-এ আমরা তিনটি useful area practice করব: better questions, make vs do এবং R sound।
১. Two Truths and a Lie দিয়ে Question Practice
নিজের সম্পর্কে তিনটি sentence বলুন—দুটি সত্য, একটি মিথ্যা। আপনার partner question করে বুঝবে কোনটি lie। এই activity question formation ও follow-up skill practice করার সহজ উপায়।
Example statements:
I have visited Sylhet.
I can cook biryani.
I once met a famous actor.
Possible questions:
When did you visit Sylhet?
Who taught you to cook?
Where did you meet the actor?
What happened next?
২. Better Follow-up Questions
- When…? — সময় জানতে
- Where…? — জায়গা জানতে
- Who…? — ব্যক্তি জানতে
- Why…? — কারণ জানতে
- How…? — পদ্ধতি বা experience জানতে
- How long…? — সময়ের duration জানতে
৩. Make এবং Do-এর মূল পার্থক্য
সাধারণভাবে make ব্যবহার হয় কিছু তৈরি, সৃষ্টি বা result-এর ক্ষেত্রে; do ব্যবহার হয় কাজ, task বা activity-এর ক্ষেত্রে। কিন্তু অনেক expression fixed, তাই phrase হিসেবে শেখা ভালো।
৪. Common Expressions with Make
- make a decision
- make a mistake
- make a plan
- make a phone call
- make progress
- make an effort
Examples: I need to make a decision today. / She made good progress this month.
৫. Common Expressions with Do
- do homework
- do the laundry
- do business
- do a job
- do exercise
- do your best
Examples: I do my homework after dinner. / Just do your best.
৬. Make vs Do — Quick Practice
Choose the correct word:

৭. Natural R Sound
English R Bangla র-এর মতো সবসময় জোরে tap করে বলা হয় না। American English-এ R সাধারণত স্পষ্ট থাকে; অনেক British accent-এ word-এর শেষে R পরের vowel না থাকলে দুর্বল বা silent শোনাতে পারে। Beginner হিসেবে সবচেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ হলো consistent ও clear pronunciation।
Practice words: right, ready, road, around, very, correct, improve। প্রতিটি word ধীরে বলুন, তারপর sentence-এ বলুন: Are you ready? / Turn right at the next road.
৮. Speaking Activity
নিজের সম্পর্কে তিনটি statement তৈরি করুন—দুটি সত্য, একটি মিথ্যা। এরপর নিজেই 5টি follow-up question লিখুন। তারপর make/do দিয়ে 5টি sentence বলুন এবং শেষে R থাকা 5টি word দিয়ে ছোট sentence practice করুন।

❌ I make my homework every night.
✅ I do my homework every night.
❌ Where you went?
✅ Where did you go?
১০. Mini Quiz
1. “___ a decision” — make or do?

4. একটি follow-up question লিখুন যা “How long” দিয়ে শুরু হয়।
