Lesson 6: Describe Your Best Friend with Better Adjectives — বাংলায়

কাউকে English-এ describe করতে শুধু “good” বা “nice” বললে কথা খুব basic শোনায়। এই lesson-এ personality, habit এবং relationship নিয়ে আরও useful adjective ও sentence pattern শিখব।

১. Personality বলার useful adjectives

• kind — দয়ালু
• honest — সৎ
• hard-working — পরিশ্রমী
• ambitious — উচ্চাকাঙ্ক্ষী
• careful — সতর্ক
• optimistic — আশাবাদী
• courageous — সাহসী
• timid — লাজুক/ভীতু

২. Sentence pattern

He/She is + adjective.
She is very honest.
He is ambitious and hard-working.

He/She is the kind of person who…
She is the kind of person who always helps others.

৩. শুধু adjective নয়—evidence দিন

“My friend is kind” বলার পরে ছোট example দিন: He always helps me when I have a problem. এতে description বেশি natural ও believable হয়।

৪. Appearance বলার polite way

Appearance describe করার সময় neutral ও respectful word ব্যবহার করুন: tall, short, slim, well-dressed, curly-haired, cheerful-looking। কাউকে অপমান করতে পারে এমন comment এড়িয়ে চলুন।

৫. My Best Friend — 1-minute structure

1. Who is your friend?
2. How long have you known each other?
3. What is he/she like?
4. What do you usually do together?
5. Why is this friendship important to you?

Example: My best friend is Nabil. We have known each other since school. He is honest, calm and very helpful. We often discuss work and play football on weekends. I trust him because he always gives me practical advice.

৬. Common mistakes

❌ He is very hard work.
✅ He is very hard-working.

❌ She have a kind personality.
✅ She has a kind personality.

❌ He is my friend from ten years.
✅ We have been friends for ten years.

৭. Speaking challenge

একজন friend বা colleague বেছে নিয়ে 60 seconds কথা বলুন। অন্তত 4টি adjective, 2টি example এবং 1টি reason ব্যবহার করুন।
