৩. Linking Words
- and — তথ্য যোগ করতে
- but — contrast
- because — reason
- so — result
- however — formal contrast
- first, then, finally — sequence
Example: I liked the shirt, but it was too expensive, so I bought a different one.
৪. “ch” সব word-এ একই sound নয়
English spelling দেখে pronunciation সবসময় অনুমান করা যায় না। যেমন chair, machine ও chemistry-তে “ch” আলাদা sound দেয়। নতুন word শেখার সময় dictionary audio শুনে pronunciation confirm করুন।
৫. Shopping role-play
A: Excuse me, how much is this jacket?
B: It’s 2,500 taka.
A: Do you have it in black?
B: Yes, but only in large.
A: Can I try it on?
B: Of course.
Common mistakes
❌ How much price? → ✅ How much is it?
❌ I want another colour one. → ✅ I’d like one in another colour.
❌ Because I liked it, but I bought it. → Use connectors according to meaning.
Practice
নিজেকে buyer এবং seller ধরে 8-line conversation বলুন। অন্তত and, but, because, so—এই 4টি linking word ব্যবহার করুন।
